I've decided two is my favorite age. Subtract the potty training and the picky eating and the tantrums over broken cookies, and it's total bliss. The post-nap-time snuggles, the mommy obsession, the miniature little person in adorable clothes, and the language. Oh, the language! My favorite!
A few of John's endearing phrases so I don't forget:
- teetee (pacy)
- couple bit (little bit)
- too too rain (choo choo train)
- His single ongoing conversation with Daddy: "Daddy, lawn mower? with trailer? blower? weed wacker?"
- booty-butt
- not me spend enough time with you yet (when he's trying to get more snuggles and avoid bedtime)
And a few other John icons at two years old: wearing either snow or rain boots every day, no matter what, because he can put them on himself; his puppy and pacy; his obsession with treats; his favorite color pink; the slowest eater we've ever met; his affinity for snuggling and for his mama!

Is it obvious I pick my battles? Bathing suit and snow boots, anyone? |

Sweet, shy John at his preschool Christmas musical wouldn't let go of Mrs. Bekah's leg the whole time. |
